Pilita Corrales pinagalitan si Janine Gutierrez dahil kay Bong Revilla

“Bago ako mag-umpisa Lolit, pinagalitan ko si Janine kahapon,” bungad ng Asia’s Queen of Songs na si Pilita Corrales nang mag-guest ito kanina sa month-long anniversary celebration ng digital show na Take It, Per Minute! (Me Ganun) aired by Pilipino Star NGAYON Facebook page. Ang Take It… ay hosted nina Lolit Solis, Cristy Fermin at Mr. Fu.

“I said ‘you’re wrong! You are wrong! When you are wrong, you’re wrong.’ Wala naman na siyang… Ang sabi niya ‘yes Mita (short for Mamita), yes Mita. Sometimes kasi she’s ano… Ang sabi ko, you don’t do that, you can’t say that. Who do you think you are?” kuwento pa ni Pilita.

“Sinabi ko talaga sa kanya na sometimes, you just open your mouth and you don’t know. Maybe you meant oh my God, so exciting. You didn’t do that Janine.”

How can she be so cruel for a second chance to a co actor like Bong without even thinking if not for the goodness of people she won't be where she is today. I respect what she feels, or her political beliefs, pero sana inisip niya more than anyone else, siya dapat ang mas maging magaan sa pagbibigay chance sa isang tao na gusto bumalik sa pinanggalingan niyang mundo. Sayang, love pa naman kita, now takot na ako dahil baka maging judgemental at I am cleaner than you are attitude ka rin sa akin dahil sa mga nagawa kong pagkakamali, you will never give me a second chance. Hoping you will do well, kumita at mag rate mga ginagawa mong project. #classiclolita #takeitperminutemeganun #72naako

“She was brought up well by both her parents. I’m pretty sure she had no intention of coming on too cruel or harsh with her comment/opinion. Belittling her is unnecessary.

When she came to me after college and said, 'Mama gusto kong mag-try mag-artista', I asked her, 'Are you sure?' I asked her that question not because wala akong bilib sa kanya o sa kakayahan niya, but because I was afraid that this industry that I have grown up into can be very harsh sometimes. Everyone else can give their opinions and share how they feel pero dahil artista ka may hangganan ang pagbibigay mo nun. Medyo unfair. Hehehe! And because of all these reasons, half of me wanted to say no because as a mom ayoko siyang masaktan. I want to protect my daughter from all of that. On the other hand I can't stop her from what she wants for herself, for living her dreams, for proving herself and giving her a chance to go after that. What I saw in Janine's eyes and felt when we had that conversation that day is that she was willing to learn and "accept everything" that comes with being an artist and be the best version she can be in this profession that she has chosen. That's why I said yes. Buong puso kong maipagmamalaki that I have raised a daughter that is very respectful, level-headed, smart, humble and willing to take risks when needed. Bilang magulang andito lang ako nakatanaw and praying with all my heart that she will achieve everything that she has only prayed for. In the many years that I have also been in this industry at sa lahat ng nakita at napagdaanan ko, I have also learned to choose my battles, hindi lahat pinapatulan, sinasagot at pinapalaki. At the same time I have also learned that it's okay to say what you feel, to give your opinion and to be heard. These are all the things that I have learned. Babe, I love you. Just Continue with all the hard work and keep on swimming. ❤
