“Di nila alam na madami ka natutulungan na di nababalita,” is what actor Janus del Prado had to say to his former co-star Angel Locsin.
The actress, he said, has been facing criticisms for her helping hand while the coronavirus pandemic is ongoing.
Janus, best known as the “pambansang best friend” for his supporting roles in several films, took to Instagram to remind Angel not to let the trolls and bashers get to her. He said that what is important is that the people closest to her sees her in a better light.
“Sabi ng mga trolls at bashers, pakitangtao ka lang daw. Pero di nila alam na madami ka natutulungan at di nababalita,” the 35-year-old actor said.
As an example of her kindness, Janus revealed that when he had the measles back in 2014, Angel paid for his hospital bill.
“Naalala ko dati nung nagka tigdas ako way back 2014, ikaw lang sa mga kakilala ko sa industria ang nag offer ng tulong at malasakit. Sinagot mo nga hospital bill ko, nagpupumilit ka pa dumalaw kahit bawal kasi naka quarantine ako sa hospital,” he wrote.
In the comments section, Angel thanked her longtime friend for defending her.
“Naiyak naman ako sa pa-tribute mo, paps! Salamat sa pagtatanggol,” she responded.
Just recently, Angel revived her fundraising initiative Shop and Share, where big-name personalities auction off their prized belongings for COVID-19 mass testing efforts in the country.
She said mass testing and the “test-trace-isolate/treat” formula are the only proven ways to defeat the virus.
