Pasig City Mayor subtly poked fun at the viral Zoom video call where an image of a naked man “disrupted” his online forum with the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines (FOCAP) on Wednesday. (WATCH: Shirtless guy disrupts Vico Sotto’s interview with foreign correspondents)
In a tweet on Thursday afternoon, the local executive chief shared a photo of his video conference with Senator Sherwin “Win” Gatchalian, mayors and policy experts.
Sotto shared that the discussion focused on the enhanced community quarantine exit strategy.
“Discussion centered on ECQ exit strategy. Kailangan maayos ang plano — mula transportasyon hanggang testing,” he said.
Mayor Vico then added a P.S. note to his tweet, jokingly expressing relief that no naked man showed up in his latest video conference.
“P.S. Thankfully, this Zoom Conference, walang participant na nag-background ng naka-BOLD,” Sotto said in jest.
On Wednesday, a clip of Sotto looking puzzled after an image of a naked man appeared out of nowhere while he was in the middle of a discussion on ECQ measures in his city left netizens laughing and wondering why it happened.
Other netizens pointed out that one of the forum participants must have used the Zoom feature that allows one to choose and change backgrounds during a video call.
The video call which was originally posted on Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines’ Facebook page has since gained over 200,000 views and 6,000 reactions after curious netizens trooped to the page to check if the “interruption” was fake or not.
