Actor Allen Ansay has broken his silence on the status of his relationship with longtime reel partner Sofia Pablo, revealing that he stopped courting the actress months ago.
The Kapuso actor issued the clarification in the comments section of one of his TikTok posts after a fan described him as a “green flag” for Pablo.
Wanting to set the record straight, Ansay stressed that there was no falling out between them.
“Gusto ko lang pong linawin na okay po kami ni Sofia. Wala pong iniwan, nagpaasa, o nang-bale-wala sa kahit kanino,” he wrote.
Allen also disclosed that his courtship of Sofia had already ended in March.
“Para na rin po sa tamang impormasyon, matagal na pong hindi naipagpatuloy ang panliligaw ko kay Sofia noong March pa po,” he revealed.
Despite the change in their relationship, the actor emphasized that they continue to respect one another and that their priorities simply shifted, particularly with their careers.
“Maayos po naming nirerespeto ang isa’t isa, at nagbago lamang ang direksyon ng aming mga priorities lalo na po sa trabaho. Pinili lang po namin na hindi magsalita tungkol dito dahil personal naman po ito,” Allen explained.
He also appealed to netizens to refrain from spreading false stories about Sofia, stressing that the actress did nothing wrong.
“Sana po ay tigilan na natin ang pagpapakalat ng mga maling kuwento o false narratives tungkol kay Sofia. Wala po siyang ginawang masama,” he defended his onscreen partner.
Ansay concluded his statement by thanking fans who have continued to support them, both as a love team and as individual artists.
“Sana ay patuloy ninyo kaming suportahan sa kani-kaniya naming journey. Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng patuloy na sumusuporta.”
Allen and Sofia is fondly known by fans for their on-screen partnership dubbed “Alfia” or “Team Jolly,” appearing together in several GMA productions, including “In My Dreams”, “Luv Is: Caught in His Arms”, and “Prima Donnas”.
