Kim Chiu is facing criticism online after making a joke about Ryzza Mae Dizon during a recent It’s Showtime segment.
In the skit, Brent Manalo warned Kim that the horror character “Lotus Feet” was behind her. When Jugs Jugueta appeared in costume, Kim quipped, “Ay! Bakit si Ryzza Mae?” Jugs then danced to Ryzza Mae’s signature “Cha-Cha Dabarkads” choreography.
The remark quickly sparked discussion on social media, with several viewers defending Ryzza Mae and calling the “joke” as “tasteless.” One Reddit user wrote, “Grabe si Kim. Ryzza Mae is beautiful.”

Another commented, “Jusq sobrang tasteless e di naman nila ka-network yon. Nananahimik yung bata at nagttrabaho nang maayos.”
Others praised the former child star for maintaining a positive image over the years, saying she “didn’t deserve to be made the subject of ridicule.”
As of writing, Kim Chiu has not publicly addressed the backlash.
