Huang Zitao, a.k.a. Tao, a former Chinese member of Kpop boy group EXO, has made his relationship official with Xu Yi Yang, a former trainee of his previous management label SM Entertainment.
The two took to Chinese short video platform Douyin to publicly announce that they are officially dating, for the first time, after years of romance speculations.
Both Tao and Yiyang posted videos showing themselves as each other’s phone’s lock screen, transitioning to clips of them going all lovey-dovey while running in a field.

The couple also shared cozy photos of them together at sunset on the beach on social media app Weibo, with Tao writing as caption, “May we always be us”. Yiyang, meanwhile, penned, “Make a wish at sunset.”

According to an article by Korean media outlet Koreaboo, Tao and Yiyang first met in 2014 at SM Entertainment where the latter trained as part of the K-pop company’s pre-debut training team SM Rookies.
Tao left EXO and SM Entertainment in 2015 while Yiyang left the company in 2018 before moving back to China and launching their careers in the local industry.
