“Pinoy Pawnstars” host Boss Toyo disclosed a missed opportunity involving a celebrity’s cherished vehicle that left him with regret.
In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN’s entertainment website Push, Boss Toyo, whose real name is Jayson Luzadas, revealed that he had the chance to purchase a sports car owned by Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla.
The vehicle in question was an orange Chevrolet Corvette, reportedly offered to Boss Toyo for P6.5 million back in January. The car’s dealer, F2A Cars, claimed that it was Daniel’s “first-ever bought sports car”.
Reflecting on this decision, Boss Toyo expressed regret, acknowledging that it could have been a profitable investment.
“Medyo nagkamali ako doon. Sayang, kikita sana ako,” he lamented, adding that budget constraints played a significant role in his decision to decline the offer.
Despite the misconception that he’s affluent due to his vlogging success, Boss Toyo emphasized that he works hard to afford the items he acquires.
“Kasi hindi ko rin naman kaya bilhin lahat. Akala nila mayaman na ako, pero hindi ganun ‘yun,” he clarified.
Moreover, Boss Toyo admitted that his lack of interest in cars would have affected his ability to promptly resell Padilla’s sports car for profit.
“I’m not into cars so ‘pag binili ko ‘yun, hindi ko pa siya ipa-buy and sell agad eh. So matutulog. Kaya hindi namin talaga pinursue. Nag-offer pero di nagkasundo,” he explained.
Despite missing out on the opportunity, Daniel’s sports car has previously found a new owner based in Pampanga.
Nonetheless, Boss Toyo takes pride in his collection of celebrity-owned items, which he plans to exhibit in his own museum.
Among these prized possessions are former child actor Jiro Manio’s Gawad Urian Best Actor trophy, and a jersey that reportedly belonged to the late rap icon Francis Magalona.
