Kris Aquino said she is keeping her faith and is asking prayers more than ever as she is set to undergo a risky medication to treat her multiple autoimmune diseases.
The actress-host appeared on live TV on her birthday, February 14, via Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, revealing that the next six months will be crucial as she is now battling at least five autoimmune diseases that have caused complications in her heart and right lung.
“May susubukan kaming biological gamot, this is a chance to save my heart. Kung hindi ito tumalab Boy, I stand a very strong chance of having cardiac arrest. Pwedeng in my sleep or kung ano man ang ginagawa ko. Pwedeng tumigil na lang ‘yung pagtibok ng puso [ko],” said Kris.
“Because of Churg Strauss I now have cardiomyopathy. This means my heart muscles are having trouble pumping blood due to inflammation, and because of that inflammation, it’s exhausting my heart and causing it to begin to fail and ultimately, please pray with me- sana hindi tuluyang sumuko or mag CARDIAC ARREST,” she further explained in an Instagram post.
Kris then asked for the continued prayers from her supporters.
“Sana wag tayong sumuko sa ating pananampalata na nakikinig ang Diyos sa mga Dasal ng buo ang tiwala sa Kanya.
She added, “I have always believed in sharing the TRUTH no matter how painful with all of you. Why? Because sinamahan nyo ako sa laban. Sana wag tayong sumuko sa ating pananampalataya na nakikinig ang Diyos sa mga Dasal ng buo ang tiwala sa Kanya.”
The 53-year-old who’s currently based in the United States, also mused about her willingness to live longer and her gratitude for the life she’s given.
“Alam ko na bawat araw, especially now birthday ko pa, pahiram na lang ‘to ng Diyos,” Aquino emotionally said. Binigyan ako ng bonus.
So whatever days are left, kung ano man ang natitira, it’s a blessing. But I really want to stay alive,” she added.
“I still want to live, I know the odds are against me- dahil ang puso hindi pwedeng diktahan pero sana sa tulong ng dasal nyo mabigyan pa ko ng konting extension,” she wrote in an Instagram post thanking her prayer warriors.
