Carla Abellana has spoken up after drawing flak over the pre-loved items she is selling online which netizens deemed as “overpriced” and “overused”.
The actress recently opened an Instagram page (carlaangeline_closet) to sell her “brand new, never-been-used and pre-loved” designer items.
Among the items that were up for grabs were designer bags such as the Longchamp Polka Dot bag and Fendi Coral bag which were met with criticisms after netizens pointed out the visible stain marks on the items.
Another item for sale that received bashing was the pair of Miu Miu slips-on which netizens described as overused.
Comments have since been limited on other posts while some posts were already taken down.
Others instagram users, however, came to the defense of the actress.
“Hindi madumi yan sign of usage yan. Maganda nga yan eh para hindi kayo mag expect pag dating sa inyo, mabuti ng alam niyo kung ano talaga deperensiya ng item,” said a netizen.
“I can’t fathom how people can be so rude with their comments,” another said.
“Important, lalo na ayaw naman nating ma-accumulate sila lalo na kung ‘di na sila ginagamit or wala na silang use sa satin. Ako naman regularly, almost on a yearly basis.”
Carla earlier seemed to lash out at the critics in a Threads post saying, “People can be so mean. So mean.”
She later addressed the issue in an interview with the reporters, stressing she would not sell something that cost more than her urchase
“Hindi ‘yun totoo, grabe kayo!Honestly, why would I sell naman something na kumbaga would cost more than kung ano yung benta ko or purchase ko.
“Hindi naman ganon. But siyempre I would sell something na much less naman than how much I got it for. ‘Di ba lalo na yung condition niya depende din doon…Well choice naman nila yun if they’re interested or if they want to buy or not.”

The actress, who recently moved into her new home, also related the importance of decluttering.
“I let go of a few of my things by donating o di kaya ‘yung ganun, selling,” she said.
The Stolen Life star renewed her contract with the GMA Network last January and is set to star in the upcoming Kapuso series “Widow’s War” alongside Bea Alonzo.
