Alex Gonzaga fired back at Catriona singer Matthaios after the latter seemed to mock her songs Chambe and AMFEE on Twitter.

The two engaged in a rap battle on the social media platform following Matthaios tweet last Monday, June 8, where he said, “Ewan ko na lang ah, pero I just heard yung song na ‘AMFEE’ and I think she was facing the mirror nung kinakanta niya ‘yon. Lol, jk!”

Alex retweeted Matthaios’ post, writing down: “Please. SMH” (So Much Hate).

The following day, Alex dropped a short video of her rapping and taunting the 20-year-old musician: “Fyi, little one, talo ng jeje ang conyo.”

“Ugh! Ako si Alex G, the best sa country. ‘Di ako nagpe-pretend ‘coz I’m the real, freakin’ deal. May mga pa-conyo. Yes sir, yes sir. Oy! Matthaios wag ako. Talo ng jeje ang conyo.”

Matthaios didn’t back down and also posted a rap verse in response — this time, throwing shade at Alex’s Chambe song.

“Hollup wait! So girl, just sit down and put on your makeup. ‘Coz shade is said. Will the real artist please stand up, please stand up. Beh!”

With that, Alex on Wednesday posted another clapback, taking a jab at Catriona, the song Matthaios popularized.

Break it down, yo!”

Matthaios landed on Twitter’s trending topics on Thursday, with some netizens calling him out for ironically promoting women empowerment through his songs yet he “initiated bullying on a woman”.
