Xian Lim admits dating film producer Iris Lee, denies third party with ex Kim Chiu

-

Xian Lim finally opened up about his newfound romance, stressing that no third party caused his breakup with Kim Chiu, his past girlfriend of 12 years.

The actor recently confirmed in his Esquire Philippines cover story that he is now dating Filipino-Chinese film producer Iris Lee.

“Yes, I’m seeing Iris. Just to clear everything, to clear all the speculations. We are seeing each other and we are very happy,” said Xian.

The Kapuso star went on to share good words for Iris, who is a senior associate producer at Viva.

“Una sa lahat, Iris is a talented filmmaker. She’s my producer and she’s also my creative partner,” he said.

Xian also put an end to the third party speculations which came out since his and Kim’s joint confirmation about their split in December.

“There’s no third party. That’s it. That plain and simple,” said the actor.

While he remained mum on the reason behind their separation, Xian expressed dismay over the “absurd” speculations that swirled including getting married and “living with someone for years,” even though it was a mutual decision between him and Kim to part ways.

“Things in life happen, the unexpected happens and we broke up. It just pains me na maraming hearsay, maraming dagdag-bawas sa kwento,” Xian said.

“It was a mutual understanding between me and (her) and that we’re going our separate ways. Hindi na kailangan pang magsabi kung sino’ng nagkulang,” he continued.

He added, “Because it was a beautiful relationship, it was a beautiful 12 years. And we worked it out. That’s why it lasted that long.”

Xian also defended himself and Iris against criticisms following his split with his former reel and real partner.

“Ang busy-busy ni Iris, ang busy-busy ko. She has a lot on her plate, and I have a lot on my plate. And, you know, she doesn’t deserve all that flak. We don’t deserve that because all the things na people are saying, there’s no truth to any of it,” he said.
