The leading man of Jane De Leon in the much-awaited Darna film remake has been finally revealed.
Kapamilya actor Paulo Avelino will reportedly star opposite De Leon in the upcoming superhero movie, according to a report by Pang-Masa.
The report mentioned that the actor”s manager Leo Dominguez posted on Instagram “#pauloavelino joins #darna” along with an article that said Avelino has been cast in the movie.
In another Instagram post last February 6, film director Jerrold Tarog said Darna was on its “Day 7” of filming.
This will be the third project of Avelino and Tarog together. The two previously worked on Heneral Luna and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.
Avelino will also star alongside Janine Gutierrez in the upcoming film If We Don’t Make It but with no release date yet.
On July 17, 2019, Jane de Leon was announced as the new actress to take the titular role after Angel Locsin and Liza Soberano decided to back out due to spinal and finger injuries, respectively.
