Tomorrow X Together (TXT) member Soobin surprised Pinoy fans after sharing glimpses of his trip to the Philippines in his recent YouTube vlog.
The K-pop star appeared to have enjoyed his return to the country, documenting his food trips and plans to try scuba diving.
“Let’s enjoy the Philippines again,” he said in the video.
The singer was seen exploring SM Mall of Asia (MOA) and eating Filipino food, praising the dishes he had tried.
“Since coming to Manila, I haven’t had a single bad dish. Everything has been delicious,” he commented on his dining experience.
Soobin also made a playful remark about his group’s fanbase, MOA, after noticing the similarity between the fandom’s name and the mall’s shortened name.
“They’re having a ‘big, big MOA sale’. MOA should go for top dollar. They’re luxury goods, a high-end brand. But I won’t sell them. All MOA are mine!”, he quipped.
Beyond exploring the city and enjoying local cuisine, Soobin shared his excitement about taking scuba diving lessons during his vacation. He also expressed his goal of earning an Open Water Diver certification.
The vlog comes months after Soobin’s previous visit to the Philippines in April, which drew attention after he and a friend nearly fell victim to an alleged taxi overcharging incident in Cebu.
Following the incident, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) issued a show cause order against the taxi operator. The operator was also directed to surrender the taxi’s license plate and the driver’s license.
For his latest trip, however, Soobin said he made sure to book a cab through an official app.
He also shared an amusing moment from his ride, revealing how he was entertained by a taxi driver who was having a loud phone conversation with someone while he was on board.
