South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron was reportedly found dead at her home on Sunday, police confirmed. She was 24.
According to reports by The Korea Times and Korea Joong Ang Daily, Kim was discovered at 4:54 p.m. by a friend who had plans to meet with her.
Officers from Seoul Seongdong Police Precinct arrived at Kim’s house in Seongdong District, eastern Seoul, after receiving a report from her friend who called them after the actress failed to appear at their scheduled meeting.
Police officials stated that they have not found any signs of foul play but are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.
“We have not found any signs of foul play as of yet, but we are investigating the circumstances of the death,” a police official said, as quoted by The Korea Times.
Kim rose to fame as a child actress, gaining recognition for her roles in films such as Hi! School-Love On, Bloodhounds, The Man from Nowhere, and A Brand New Life.
In recent years, she faced controversy following a drunk driving incident in 2022.
Authorities have not released further details regarding the cause of her death as investigations are ongoing.
