Ruffa Guttierez had a funny reaction when she heard her daughter Lorin Gutierrez swearing while singing Juan Karlos Labajo’s hit single Ere.
In a TiktTok video, Ruffa shared her “morning chikahan” with her eldest via a video call.
The actress recorded Lorin singing the chorus part of Juan Karlos’ recent song which includes a Filipino expletive in its chorus.
“What, did you just say a bad word?” Ruffa chided Lorin.
“It’s in Filipino, it doesn’t count,” Lorin laughingly responded.
Ruffa went on to interrogate Lorin about the song, prompting the latter to recite the song’s lyrics.
“You need singing lessons, you’re worse than me,” Ruffa said in jest.
“Morning chikahan with @lorin. She knows all the latest in the Philippines even if she’s a universiry student in Malibu, California. Grabeeeee!! Take singing lessons na. And don’t say BAD WORDS!,” Ruffa captioned the hilarious mother-daughter bonding.
The said video has now more than one million views as of writing.
Juan Karlos’ Ere recently made history after being the first Filipino song to enter global Spotify chart and breaking the record of the biggest single day streams for a Filipino song in history.
As of Thursday, Ere reached a new peak of No. 75 on the global Spotify chart with 1.64 million streams, days after it debuted at No.177.
