On her official comeback on the ASAP Natin ‘To stage, Sarah Geronimo was candid with her emotions when she shared the inspiration behind her new single Dati-Dati.
The Pop Royalty told the singers of the Sunday variety show that she asked her songwriter Jin Chan to compose a song for the people she misses.
“Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Jin, gusto ko talaga ng kanta na maiparating ko sa nakikinig kung gaano ko siya ka-miss, kung gaano ko siya hinahanap, inaalala, natutuwa, naluluha habang iniisip ko siya,’” she shared.
The 34-year-old opened up that she yearns for different things from the past such as the simple joys of life.
She added: “Of course, sabi ko gusto ko itago yung pagka-lungkot ko dun sa upbeat ng kanta. Syempre, gusto ko pa rin sumayaw kahit na malungkot ako and then nabuo ang Dati-Dati.”
In the same interview segment, Sarah shared that her Christmas wish is to be with her loved ones.
“Ang Christmas wish ko, alam na ni Lord yun. Yung makasama ko mga mahal ko sa buhay, habang ako’y nabubuhay,” she said.
It was just last week when veteran singer Ogie Alcasid gushed over his reunion with Sarah on the ASAP stage.
