Maggie Wilson was more than honest about how the past three years had hit her with ups and downs in life.
The former beauty queen revealed on a lengthy Instagram post, that she had gone through one of the hardest trials in her life in 2019. The following year, she said, wasn’t any better as the pandemic happened.
“I sought help and did online therapy to help me deal with what I was going through. (There’s absolutely no shame in seeking help.)
“You couldn’t really tell by my posts on social media because I was trying to keep things happy and light until I couldn’t take it anymore in 2021,” she said.
She then shared her weight, skin, and sleep quality had suffered because of the stress she experienced.
“My weight was as up and down because of stress, my skin suffered, I couldn’t sleep, I was so broken.. I still am, but I’m putting back the pieces together slowly,” she said
The 33-year-old also opened up on the trust issues she experienced from her past. She said she is still trying her best to handle how other people are still trying to hurt her.
“I’m tougher than ever but sometimes I do have my own days and that’s ok. We just need to recognise our mistakes, our flaws, acknowledge them, get help when you need it because no one else can help you if you don’t help yourself first,” she wrote.
Maggie ended her lengthy piece, encouraging her friend and followers on social media to continue working on themselves.
She ended: “I am/We are a work in progress.”
