Willie Revillame has teased the possible comeback of his variety show Wowowin after releasing his new song Babalik Ako.
The television host released his new music via Wowowin’s official Facebook and Youtube page on Tuesday, making fans excited with his program’s apparent return to television.
A line from his song goes: “Magbibigay saya mula sa puso ako, babalik ako.”
Wowowin has also been dropping throwback videos from the show as well as teaser clips featuring its staff.
Veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin revealed in her vlog Showbiz Now Na in April that Willie already left ALLTV, the network owned by businessman and former Sen. Manny Villar which aired Wowowin for a couple of months.
“Isa pong source ang nakapagbalita sa amin na sumulat na po si Willie Revillame sa pamunuan ng ALLTV ng AMBS 2 at nag-resign na po siya, wala na siyang kinalaman sa istasyon,” Cristy said in her vlog.
Willie left GMA Network in February 2022, after Wowowin’s almost seven year-run in the network.
Wowowin had previously aired on ABS-CBN and TV5.
“May siyam na buhay! Nakailang buhay na ba siya, Dos, (ABS-CBN), Singko (TV5), Siyete (GMA-7) at itong AMBS2 apat (na). May lima pa. Kaya niyang humanap ng paraan para siya ay makabalik,” Cristy said of Willie’s switching of networks throughout his career.
