Arman Salon goes viral after TikTok skit gets mistaken for real-life event

-

Filipino TikTok sensation Arman Salon is back in the online spotlight. A clip from one of her dramatic skits gained traction on X with its exaggerated caption that led some users to believe it depicted a real-life event.

The clip featured Salon lying inside a white coffin with her eyes wide open, staring intensely at the camera before closing her eyes as individuals appeared to adjust her coffin.

While fans of Salon’s over-the-top acting are familiar with her style, the clip went viral after X user “Lord Bebo” posted it with an edited caption, suggesting a bizarre scenario: “Is it because she heard her child’s voice?”

Lord Bebo’s post further described the clip as “insane,” adding: “Crazy, during a funeral a woman opened her eyes. Technically this rarely can happen with a dead body and embalmers usually sew or glue the eyelids shut precisely for this reason, to avoid false alarms. But I’m not sure if in this case she actually is alive. Imagine seeing your mother like that. Insane.”

The post quickly garnered attention, prompting X’s Community Notes feature to intervene. The notes clarified that the video was not a real event but a skit performed by Salon, who was described as a “TikTok star from the Philippines.”

While some users initially believed the dramatized scenario, many recognized the post as “clickbait content” aimed at boosting engagement. Filipino netizens, however, responded with humor and pride at Salon’s ability to captivate international audiences.

“Arman Salon international debut omfg,” one X user quipped.

Another wrote, “HAHAHAHA the community note 😭😭 Arman Salon really be fooling international X users. Like the talented queen that she is. 🤩”

“Miss Arman Salon has reached the international audience—we are so ready for her FAMAS award!” a fan exclaimed.

Salon first rose to fame for her dramatic and humorous skits on TikTok, earning a reputation for her unconventional and highly expressive acting style.

Her talents have since caught the attention of the mainstream entertainment industry, leading to collaborations with well-known Filipino stars such as Barbie Forteza, Romnick Sarmenta, and Nadine Lustre.
