Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados has finally met her father for the first time.
The Cebuana beauty wrote on Instagram: “SURREAL. Eversince I was a little girl, I have always heard of the stories of how my mom and dad first met. The year was 1990. Venue, Shakey’s Pizza Parlor. Now here I am, 30 years later. The year 2020. Shakey’s. Having my first dinner date with my DAD. What a way to start my year!”
In an interview with One News, Gazini said that she grew up without a father but her unique name is a combination of her Palestinian father’s name Gazan, her Christmas time birthday (December 26) and the Jordan River which also means flowing water.
Gazini was singlehandedly raised by her mom Carmencita with the help of her grandparents in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte. This inspired her to pursue an advocacy for elderly care during her Miss Universe Philippines reign.
