GMA Network has confirmed that a freelance production talent tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in the hospital receiving treatment.
In a statement dated March 21, the network said that it is closely coordinating with the Department of Health (DOH) and the LGU through the barangay officials to ensure that all the necessary protocols are being followed in addressing the situation.
GMA said that the last known visit of the production talent to GMA was on February 28 at the annex building of the station.
The Kapuso network also noted that “all employees and talents who had direct contact with the talent as well as second level contacts have already been notified and are all monitoring their health conditions at this time.”
“The areas that were identified to have been visited by said talent have already been vacated and are to be thoroughly disinfected in compliance with DOH protocols,” it added.
The network did not say if the production talent is among the 32 more confirmed cases of COVID-19 announced by DOH on Saturday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 patients in the Philippines to 262.
