After spending the lockdown in Puerto Galera, Kris Aquino returned home with her family just in time for the 25th birthday of her eldest son, Kuya Josh.
In an Instagram post, the former presidential sister shared that she prepared a birthday lunch for her panganay on Thursday, which was themed around the red, yellow and blue colors of the Philippine flag.
“Everyday in Puerto Galera, between 7:30-8 AM, Kuya Josh would insist that we all had to view the ‘Lupang Hinirang’ music video, stand w/ our right hand above our hearts, sabayan ang pagkanta ng National Anthem and face the open sea,” the former TV host said.
“I decided to make kuya’s lunch (na kami kami lang naman sa house) themed around the colors of our flag. ❤️????? P.S. i included the pics where kuya covered my face & the balloons covered him — mahirap talagang picture-an kapag ang panganay ay lagpas 6’2 at yung mama 5’3 lang. ???,” she further wrote.
A day ahead of Joshua’s birthday, Kris waxed sentimental, saying that her son is turning “a full year older than I was when I gave birth to him.”
“In many ways, we’ve grown up together & his innate kindheartedness, generosity, and his ability to only see the good in all situations inspire me to be the best mama i can possibly be.”
Kris and her family stayed for almost three months at a resort in the island destination of Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro while Metro Manila was placed under enhanced community quarantine.
On Wednesday, she told her followers that she was finally heading home after completing all the necessary clearances and permits.
