Netizens were thrilled to witness two of the hottest Pinoy love teams interact and collaborate for the first time. Now, they are hoping to see them bring the characters of a hit K-drama series to life for a Filipino adaptation.

Kapamilya and Kapuso reel couples, “MaThon” and “BarDa”, formed by Maris Racal, Anthony Jennings, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco respectively, recently appeared in an episode of the Netflix social series, “Bida/Bida”, where they discussed their experience as on-screen partners.

During the episode, the pairs shared funny moments together inside an elevator including their mashing their iconic lines from their hit series, “Can’t Buy Me Love” and “Maria Clara at Ibarra.”

The collaboration quickly trended on social media platforms following the release of its teaser and the episode that got fans hooked on the love teams’ dynamics and chemistry with each other.

This also prompted another reaction from netizens where they visualized the actors and actresses for a Pinoy adaptation of the hit Korean rom-com series, “Business Proposal”.

A Facebook user even edited their photo side-by-side with the cast of the said K-drama series, which garnered thousands of likes and positive reactions.

Here are some of the netizens reactions:

In an exclusive interview with PEP during a meet-and-greet event with his fans last Sunday, Kapuso actor David Licauco shared his reaction to their fans’ wish.

David initially expressed gratitude to fans considering him for the remake and personally wishes that such a project would push through,

“I hope, di ba?” the “Pambansang Ginoo” told PEP.

“Napakaganda nun kasi,” Licauco added, “Marami na agad na tao na nag-aabang. So, hopefully. Hopefully, magawa yan. Let’s see.”

Business Proposal tells the story of a woman who attends a blind date disguised as her friend with the goal of never seeing the man again. But when she realizes her date is the CEO of the company she works at and is determined to marry her, ghosting him is no longer an option.

The K-series stars Ahn Hyo-seop, Kim Se-jeong, Kim Min-gue, and Seol In-a.

David and Barbie are currently starring in the upcoming Kapuso historical drama, “Pulang Araw”, alongside Alden Richards, Sanya Lopez, Dennis Trillo, Rochelle Pangilinan, and Epi Quizon, among others.

In Pulang Araw, characters will navigate an intricate web of loyalty, betrayals, sacrifices, and resilience amidst the backdrop of a war ravaging the country.
