Priscilla Meirelles has quickly denied her husband John Estrada’s claims that they mutually agreed to separate temporarily.
In a recent Instagram story, Meirelles countered Estrada’s statement which he also made public on Instagram.
Estrada claimed, “Priscilla and I have mutually agreed to take a break for quite some time now.”
However, Meirelles responded, “I am deeply shocked and disheartened by Mr. Estrada’s recent public statement. To clarify, there was never any mutual agreement regarding our separation.”
She added, “We were married when I left the Philippines, and we remain married as of this time.”
The controversy began when Estrada posted a picture from his Boracay vacation, and Meirelles responded to a fan’s comment about the identity of his companion, saying, “Si @LilyHallman_ 😂.”
Estrada issued a statement to deny this claim, stating, “I want to make it clear that I am not in a relationship with Lily Hallman or any other woman for that matter. I just met her in Boracay.”
Meirelles hinted at more undisclosed details but refrained from sharing them, saying, “While there is indeed more to this story, it is not the appropriate time to delve into those details. Regardless of what those may be, however, it won’t change the course of faith.”
She concluded her statement by expressing gratitude: “I appreciate your constant support, kindness, and love during this difficult time. I trust that, in due course, all will be resolved appropriately. Thank you for understanding.”
Priscilla Meirelles, who rose to prominence by winning Miss Earth 2004 in the Philippines, met Estrada, and eventually tied the knot with the actor in February 2011. They have one daughter.
