Cup of Joe announces exit of band member Sevi

Pinoy alternative rock band Cup of Joe has officially announced the departure of their band member, Sevi, marking the end of his five-year-long journey with the group.

The OPM band made the announcement on their social media pages with a letter addressed to their loyal fans, “Joewahs.”

The message expressed gratitude for Sevi’s contributions and highlighted the amicable nature of the split.

“Dear Joewahs: We would like to inform you that Cup of Joe and Sevi have parted ways. We have truly enjoyed our time together and we appreciate his contributions over the last five years,” their statement read.

“We wish him all the best in his future endeavors. We appreciate your understanding and continued support,” the band wrote.

The band also thanked their fans for their understanding and ongoing support, signing off with, “Mananatili, Cup of Joe.”

Cup of Joe was initially formed by six members, formed by lead singers Gian Bernardino and Raphael Ridao, keyboardist Xen Gareza, lead guitarist Gabriel “Fernandez”, CJ Fernandez on rhythm guitar, and Raphael “Sevi” Severino on bass guitar.

The band last performed on stage at the “Love Laban 2 Everyone” event in Quezon City Memorial Circle last Saturday, June 22, in celebration of Pride month.
