Jake Ejercito was spotted paying his respects to veteran actress Jaclyn Jose, the grandmother of her daughter Ellie with ex-partner Andi Eigenmann.
The actor attended the wake of Jaclyn as he joined his 12-year-old daughter and her family mourning the late actress’ death.
As seen in a video posted by Pep.ph, Jake closely watched while Andi placed her mom’s urn atop a flower arrangement.
Jake also paid tribute to the grandmother of his child in a heartfelt social media post.
“Of her many iconic roles, being a grandmother was one she cherished the most, especially to Ellie,” Jake wrote alongside throwback photos of them together.
The actor also reminisced how the late actress guided him in raising Ellie. Jake and Andi broke up in 2014 after four years together but agreed on co-parenting their daughter.
He continued, “I surely wouldn’t have survived those early years of fatherhood without your guidance. We rolled with the punches together— anything and everything just for Ellie.
“You’ve left a void in Ellie’s heart that we could only attempt to fill for the rest of our days. But I’ll give it my best shot and make sure she’ll be ok.
“Maraming salamat sa lahat, tita. You were loved, especially by your Ellie,” he added.
Jake earlier posted baby photos of Ellie sharing precious moments with her grandma.
During a press conference on Monday, Andi went emotional as she announced the death of her mom who succumbed to heart attack last Saturday, March 2, 2024.
Several celebrities such as Claudine Baretto, Ivana Alawi, Alden Richards, and John Jorcilla also personally extended their condolences at the jaclyn’s wake.
