“Aray ko po.”
This was Kapuso actress Carla Abellana’s reaction to the fake news of her death made by a netizen on Facebook.
On her Instagram story, the “Stolen Life” star even reposted the Facebook post that alleged her death which was dated May 29, 2023.
The netizen’s post read as published:
“May 29, 2023, pumanaw na ang aktres na si Carla Abellana sa edad na 36
RIP Carla Abellana
(June 12, 1986 – May 29, 2023)”
To this, Carla appeared to have just laughed it off as she wrote, “Aray ko po. ?”
Carla was not the first celebrity to be subjected to social media death hoaxes such as this.
It can be recalled that fellow Kapuso celebrity, Michael V., also fell victim to fake news last July 2020.
