Luis Manzano couldn’t help getting emotional as It’s Your Lucky Day aired its finale episode after stepping in as a 12-day replacement for noontime show It’s Showtime.
During its airing on Friday, the TV host looked back at the same emotions he and his co-hosts felt during the noontime show’s pilot episode last October 14.
“Ako, thank you lang din kagaya ng sinabi natin no’ng opening. Actually do’n pa lang, bumagsak na ‘yung mga luha natin, lumabas na lahat ng emosyon dahil siguro natanggap natin ang reyalidad na siguro pansamantala, ito na ‘yung pansamantalang huling pagsasama natin,” said Luis.
Luis went on to stress his gratitude to the viewers and his co-hosts, staff and production team.
It’s Lucky Day was co-hosted by Robi Domingo, Melai Cantiveros, Jenica Garcia, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Andrea Brillantes, and Kyle Echarri.
The show also featured guest co-hosts such as Bianca Umali, Shaina Magdayao, and Vilma Santos-Recto
“Thank you sa inyong lahat at kaya nga nung namimili kung sino-sinong makakasama ko rin, hindi dahil gusto ko lang kayo makasama, na masaya lang, hindi lang ‘yon. Dahil naniniwala ako na kailangan ko kayo para sa lahat na mga ka-Lucky natin,” Luis.
Luis said that being part of the show is his most favorite moment in his more than two decades hosting career.
“It’s our great honor na magpasaya sa inyong lahat ng panandalian para mapawi ang iyong problema,” Luis continued.
“At sa ating ‘Showtime’ family, we welcome you back. Maraming-maraming salamat sa pagpapatuloy sa inyong tahanan at itutuloy niyo rin ang kasiyahan,” he added.
Showtime went back on air on Saturday, October 28 after the 12-day suspension ordered by Movie and Television Review and Classification Board’s.
The move came after MTRCB said it received multiple complaints over an episode wherein the program’s hosts allegedly “acted in an indecent manner” during its Isip Bata segment.
“Salamat mga Ka-Lucky. Malay natin,” Luis said in an Instagram post, teasing the possibility of the show becoming permanent in the future.
Meanwhile, Melai Cantiveros and Robi Domingo had also earlier aired their feelings about It’s Lucky Day ending its 12-day run.
