Gladys Guevarra has tied the knot with her partner whose identity she initially opted not to reveal.
The comedian-actress recently shared on social media that she got married in the US to her special someone whom she only referred to as “AD”.
On her latest Facebook Live video, the now Mrs. Gladys Gueverra-Dawa gave into a follower’s request and briefly showed her new husband’s face.
Prior to the face reveal, AD thanked the people who sent their messages of support for the newlyweds.
“Thank you sa lahat na nag congratulate sa amin mag-asawa. Maraming salamat sa inyo,” he said.
Gladys also addressed some bashers who commented, “Pang ilang asawa mo na ba yan?”
“Gusto ko yung isang comment na pag nasa America ka at di na nagwo-work ang relationship, mabilis ang divorce, right? Ngayon ‘pag makahanap ka ulit ng magpapasaya sayo at magmamahal sa yo, pwede ka magpakasal ulit,” she said.
“So ganun po dito sa America. Hindi ko sinasabi tinatapon ko na po ang paniniwala ko sa relationship diyan sa Pilipinas. I still have it pero kailangan ko pong tanggapin sa sarili ko na ganun talaga ang buhay. If it’s not meant for you, it’s not meant for you.”
In a previous post, Gladys expressed her gratitude and happiness for taking a chance at love again despite all the seemingly “endless battles,” as well as the pain and heartaches she experienced in the past.
“I thank God dahil hindi hatred ang namalagi sa puso ko. I am blessed by God din to cont;nue to love again. And ipinaramdam din sa akin ni Papa God na hindi totoong wala ng magmamahal sa akin,” Gladys wrote as caption alongside a selfie of her in a white veil and wedding dress.
“May katapusan pala lahat ng pain at heartaches. Pinabangon ako muli ni Lord at binigyan ng isang katulad ni AD. Na minahal ako at minamahal ng buong buo at wala ng kahit anong question,” she added.
Gladys also reflected on being vulnerable, not being forsaken by God and finally finding the happiness she deserves after all the trials she went through.
“Hindi ako uminda sa lahat ng sakit at pagsubok, knowing mas maraming sakit, hirap at pagpapahirap ang ginawa kay Jesus. Iniyakan ko? Oo, pero hindi ako pinabayaan ni Lord. At mas ipinaramdam pa sa akin ng Panginoon na mas deserve ko pang lumigaya ng mas maligaya pa sa inakala kong ligaya.
She continued, “To God be all the glory. Tama ang sinabi ng Panginoon, may inilaan sya para sa akin. At hindi ko kailangan magmadali. Ngayon alam ko na ng malinaw bakit nangyari ang lahat ng nangyari. May mas magandang plano si Lord…Smile nalang ako ng smile ngayon. Let us all just spread LOVE!”
Gladys was formerly married to non-showbiz ex-husband Mike Navarrete in 2021, but reportedly got divorced the next year.
