Content creators Ser Geybin and Mam Elma have confirmed that they have mutually decided to end their relationship after seven years together, weeks after previously denying online speculations about their status.
The vlogger couple, whose real names are Gavin Capinpin and Elma Asagra, made the announcement through separate statements posted on their respective Facebook pages.
In a lengthy post, Ser Geybin acknowledged the difficulty of the decision and reflected on their years together.
“Hindi biro ang pitong taon na saya at pagmamahal, kaya hayaan niyo ko ipaliwanag sa huling pagkakataon ang lahat. Elma and I had a beautiful 7 years, but kaylangan na po namin sabihin sa inyo na lahat po ginawa namin pero hindi po kami nagtagumpay isalba ang relasyon namin,” he wrote.
He added that the couple had long been trying to work through their differences but ultimately reached a breaking point.
“Matagal na po namin ito nilalaban at nilalabanan, pero hindi po namin masabi agad sa inyo dahil alam po namin na malulungkot kayo, dahil puro saya at pagmamahal lang ang naipakita namin sa inyo sa loob ng pitong taon, pero ang totoo marami rin kaming laban sa likod ng mga ngiti at saya na ‘yon,” he said.
“Hindi rin po namin itatanggi na kaya ayaw pa namin sabihin noon kasi sinusubukan pa rin po namin ang lahat para ayusin ang relasyon namin, pero dumating na po kami dito, sa hangganan.”
Ser Geybin also shared a heartfelt message for Mam Elma, expressing gratitude for their shared journey and acknowledging her personal growth and achievements.
“Elma, gusto ko lang sabihin na habang buhay ko dadalhin yung pagmamahalan natin at isa ka sa pinakamagandang nangyari sa buhay ko, wala akong pagsisi sa lahat ng nangyari dahil napakadami mong naituro sa akin at naitulong sa akin.”
“Ikaw ang naging kasangga ko sa lahat ng bagay sa hirap man o saya, natapos man ang lahat pero ang saya ko lang na ang dami nating narating na magkasama at mga plano na natupad,” he wrote, adding that he remains proud of her and will continue to support her even from afar.
He also apologized to both families for the emotional impact of their separation.
“Gusto ko rin po humingi ng kapatawaran sa pamilya ko at lalo na sa pamilya ni Elma […] Masakit man po sa amin gawin ito pero ito na po ang nakita naming solusyon. Andito lang po ako lagi, mananatili nyo po akong pamilya,” he said.
Ser Geybin further thanked their supporters, saying their audience played a major role in their journey as a couple and creators.
“Sa lahat ng mga sumuporta sa amin mula umpisa, hindi niyo alam kung gaano kasakit sa amin yung desisyon na ito dahil parte kayo ng naging buhay namin. Isa kayo sa bumuo sa amin, isa kayo sa nagpapalakas sa amin pag mahina na kami, at isa kayo sa nagdala kung bakit kami nandito sa posisyon namin na ito. Kaya sana patuloy niyo pa rin kami suportahan sa tatahakin naming landas,” he added.
An hour before his statement, Mam Elma also confirmed the breakup, saying they had done everything possible to save their relationship.
“We really tried our best to work things out. Yes, nakikita ninyong masaya on-cam, pero sa likod ng camera, we also have our own problems and struggles na kami lang ang nakakaalam,” she said.
She clarified that their relationship was genuine and not for content or views.
“Hindi lang po kami ‘for the views’ or anything. What Gavin and I had was real,” she stressed. “Dumadating po siguro talaga
‘yung time na hindi mo na maramdaman ‘yung mutual feelings. Sa love, kailangan parehas kayong nagmamahal.”
“Matagal po naming sinubukan ang lahat. Our decision is mutual. Like what l’ve said, we tried our best to make it work. This is not easy for either of us, especially for our families who are also hurting through this,” explained Elma.
She also addressed their fan community, which she referred to as ELGA, thanking them for their support throughout their journey.
“To ELGA, thank you for giving us the time to process the pain and finally face this. We know that this is painful. Sobrang nasasaktan kami na nakikitang nasasaktan kayo. Please know that it hurts the two of us more than you know,” she wrote.
“I don’t know what the future holds for us. Sabi nga nila kung kayo, kayo talaga! Wala po kami dito kung wala kayo, kaya sobra po kaming nagpapasalamat sa inyong walang sawang pagmamahal at suporta. Please continue to support us as we try to heal and move forward.”
In her message to Ser Geybin, she expressed gratitude for their seven-year relationship and the memories they built together.
“Gavin, it has been 7 wonderful years. I learned so much from our relationship, and I will always value the time we shared together. You have been such an important part of my life,” she said.
Elma ended her statement by asking for understanding and privacy as they begin separate chapters in their lives.
“Breaking up is never easy, especially when it happens in front of everyone. Hiling lang po namin ang inyong pag-unawa at respeto sa aming privacy habang sinusubukan naming simulan ang bagong yugto ng aming mga buhay. Gavin and I will continue to support each other as we go our separate ways. We hope that you will still join us on our new journeys!” her statement concluded.
