Miss Universe Catriona 2018 Gray is living her fangirl dreams after sharing the stage anew with Ne-Yo during his concert in Manila.
Ne-Yo held his back-to-back “Live in Concert” at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last Saturday at 6 and 8 p.m., performing hit songs including Mad, Miss Independent and So Sick in his setlist.
Catriona got to join Ne-Yo onstage during the second show of the American R&B singer’s concert after he invited some members of the audience to dance.
Catriona took Ne-Yo by surprise when she introduced herself as a Miss Universe titleholder.
“My name is Catriona and I actually walked with you in Thailand. I’m Miss Universe,” said Catriona.
“Oh, I remember you!,” Ne-Yo said before giving Catriona a hug.
Too shy to dance, Catriona then strutted the stage and recreated her iconic lava walk instead.
To recall, Ne-Yo was the one who serenaded the Top 3 finalists of Miss Universe 2018 competition in Thailand with his song Miss Independent.
Catriona earlier shared her get-up for the show on Instagram, saying in jest, “Ne-Yo nahanap mo na ba si Miss Independent?! Nandito na siyaaaa! So excited to fan girl yeheee.”
The 29-year-old also tool to Instagram story to repost a side by side clips of her sharing the stage with Neyo in 2018 and the most recent one.
“Alam niyo my fangirl heart is soo happy,” she said.
She later shared an Instagram post gushing over her unforgettable fangirling moment.
