Veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin earned the ire of Nadine Lustre’s fans after criticizing the actress for being “too revealing”.
Nadine recently clapped back at a netizen who made comments against her supposed weight gain and rumored boyfriend Christophe Bariou.
“Why @hello_nadine ang chuba mo na, wala ang butt, wala nang curve, sabagay wala ka nang insecurities sa katawan kasi tanggap ka ni Chris kahit maging big ka pa, kaso baka ‘pag nagsawa at makakita ng mas bata iwan ka rin. ‘Wag magpabola kasi hindi ka naman bolang dini-dribble think twice or thrice lagi,” read the netizen’s now-deleted tweet.
Nadine shut down the netizen with her “ew body-shamer” response.
In a recent episode of her digital program Cristy Ferminute, the commentator brought up the said tweet and remarked that she saw nothing wrong in the netizen’s comments against Nadine who’s currently in Siargao Island.
“Si Nadine Lustre pumapa-show sa Siargao. Lakad nang lakad, rampa nang rampa na naka-two piece. Laging ganun kahit bibili lang siya ng lechon sarsa, meron siyang pupuntahan. Ewan ko no kung bakit ayaw niya mag-damit, wala naman ng nagbabawal sa kanya.
“Tapos ngayon di ba nagiging sentro siya ng body shaming? Sabi lang naman ng isang netizen, ‘Nadine, napapansin na tumataba ka na naman, ingat-ingat.’ Anong masama dun?” said Cristy.
The columnist then gave the actress her unsolicited advice to avoid getting body-shamed, which did not sit well with the actress’ supporters.
The veteran scribe has since landed on Twitter’s trending topics list on Saturday.
“Eh ikaw na hitad ka, ayaw mo mag-damit pa show ka nang pa-show kahit saan, bibili ka lang ng sarsa ng litson, kitang-kita buong katawan mo. Para hindi ka naba-bash, magtapi ka,” Cristy suggested.
She added, “Ang dami dami namang paraan. Magtapi ka, itago mo ‘yung buong katawan mo, ng hindi ka naba-bash.”
Nadine, meanwhile, posted cryptic tweets on Saturday which fans believed to be referring to Cristy.
“Marites talaga ihhh,” said Nadine alongside the tags to be used for the launch of the music video for her newest single Wait For Me.
“2021 na toxic pa rin,” she said in another tweet.
