Ina Raymundo congratulates daughter Erika on high school graduation

Erika Rae Poturnak, Ina Raymundo’s firstborn, has just graduated from high school.

The celebrity mom on Friday penned a letter greeting her beloved daughter on her milestone.

Ina took pride in her 18-year-old daughter’s positivity despite graduating virtually due to the COVID-19 crisis.

“Dad and I asked you over dinner last night how you feel about graduation via Zoom. You said that this whole thing is surreal, but you’re trying not to dwell on the negative and look at only the positives that will come out of this,” wrote Ina.

She continued, “Despite everything that is happening, you’re still able to maintain a bright outlook and be a wonderful role model to your little sisters.”

“We will always be proud of you, Ate @erikarae.p ??. Congratulations on your graduation and best wishes for your next adventure,” the actress added.

Erika is the eldest of five children of Ina and her husband Brian Portunak.

In 2019, Erika turned heads with her sizzling pre-debut photoshoot and video.

When Erika turned 18 in October 2019, Ina said of her Baby No. 1: “You will always be the feisty and fiery one in the family but you are the sweetest too. We can see how you love your siblings so much and can be very protective of them.”

Dear Erika, Dad and I are still a bit in denial that you turn 18 today. We remember vividly the day you were born. The hospital in Vancouver forgot to give me an epidural so you were the most alert of all. That smirk, with your Angelina Jolie lips, you gave us the first time we held you in our arms…unforgettable. It’s your newborn way of saying, brace yourselves mom and dad! You were the most beautiful baby we’ve ever seen with your softest, thick, dark brown hair. How can we ever forget your chup-chup (pacifier) days? Your infancy revolved around it that Mama vowed never to give it to your future siblings. You were such a sweet, happy child, Erika. Little things made you ecstatic such as desserts (oh yes! Lotsa sweets!), Barney, Blue’s Clues, Totally Spies, Mermaids, Barbie dolls, Polly Pocket, High School Musical, just to name a few… You’ve always been a songster too. You used to belt out Hey Ya as a toddler. Your ultimate fave songs as a little girl were This Love, My Hump, You Are The Music In Me, Somewhere Over The Rainbow… You and mama used to sing Big Girls Don’t Cry over and over again in the car until Dad and Jakob’s ears would bleed. But somewhere along Middle School years, you somehow changed. Mom and dad were the un-coolest persons on earth. We get it. Those were your transition years. Now that you’re finally 18, you’ve matured so much. You have a good head on your shoulders and a beautiful heart, Erika. You will always be the feisty and fiery one in the family but you are the sweetest too. We can see how you love your siblings so much and can be very protective of them. We are blessed to have you. Happy 18th Birthday, Erika! It’s your time to soar high. Mom and Dad will be here to support you no matter what. We love you so much! Always, Mother & Father @erikarae.p @bwp874 @erlindap.raymundo @alliyahhortaleza #ErikaRaeTurns18 #ErikaRaePot
