Google has released its annual top searches for 2021 and these Filipino celebrities made it to the list.
The year saw these showbiz names become a hot topic online after getting embroiled in their respective controversies.
Yen Santos topped the list for most searched female personalities in the country.
To recall, the actress became the talk of the town after getting involved in the controversial split of Paolo Contis and LJ Reyes.
AJ Raval, who was romantically linked to Aljur Abrenica, also made a buzz after she was speculated to have caused the breakup of the actor with wife Kylie Padilla.
The young sexy actress, who also starred in successive films this year for the streaming service Vivamax, denied such accusations.
AJ also most recently got dragged into an issue involving the couple Barbie Imperial and Diego Loyzaga.
Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo and Olympic gold winner Hidilyn Diaz earned the second and fourth spot, respectively.
Vice President Leni Robredo and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte came in at the fifth and sixth places. Bella Poarch, Olivia Rodrigo, Hoyeon Jung and Olivia Culpo completed the list.
As for the male personalities, Gerald Anderson and Dominic Roque took the fourth and seventh places, respectively.
Gerald made headlines after finally confirming his relationship with Julia Barretto in March.
Dominic Roque, on the other hand, also made public his romance with Bea Alonzo this year.
American actor Jake Gyllenhaal topped the list, followed by K-drama actors Kim Seonho and Hwang in-youp.
