On Saturday, the Magalona family celebrated what would have been the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona’s 56th birthday.
His wife, Pia Magalona took to social media to share throwback photos of her husband.
“Happy Birthday to you,” Pia wrote.
In another post, Pia shared a past photo of their “troupe.”
Her caption read: “Spindicate Posse and DJ Kimozave. Troi Santos is Jade’s kuya and loves photography. Back in their youthful daze, FM and Troi were right, and when we needed a new DJ (post-DJ MOD), we discovered a gem in Kimo.
“FrancisM, Spindicate Posse, Hardware Syndrome and the Evil Stepsisters. That’s our trope.”
On the same day, three out of six of Pia and Francis’ kids took to social media to mark the special day of their late father.
Maxene Magalona, the family’s eldest child, also shared a birthday greeting for her “idol.”
“Rap in peace,” she wrote.
“He would have been 56 today. Love you, pop,” Saab Magalona wrote on her Instagram page along with a photo of the rap icon.
Meanwhile, 20-year-old Arkin shared an old photo of him and his father.
The King of Rap passed away back in 2009 after he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
