SB19 joins BINI as newest Phl tourism ambassadors

P-pop sensation SB19 has officially been named the newest ambassadors of the Department of Tourism (DOT).

The DOT made the announcement through its official social media pages on Sunday, July 26, introducing the five-member group Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin as its newest tourism ambassadors who are joining the agency’s efforts to promote the Philippines and showcase Filipino talent, creativity, and culture to the world.

“GÁLING BAYAN, GALING NG BAYAN. A’TIN YAN,” the agency wrote, making a special mention to SB19’s dedicated fanbase, A’TIN.

“The Department of Tourism proudly welcomes SB19 as the Philippines’ newest Tourism Ambassadors — five Filipino artists bringing our talent, creativity, and culture to the world,” the agency said.

Highlighting the group’s journey to international success, DOT added, “From their homegrown beginnings to global stages, SB19 and A’TIN continue to show just how far Filipino pride can go.”

The agency also expressed hope that the group’s worldwide following would be inspired to explore the Philippines.

“Now, they’re inviting their global community to come closer to home and experience the Philippines — our culture, cuisine, heritage, destinations, and the unmistakable warmth of Filipino homecoming,” DOT wrote.

“Salamat, SB19 and A’TIN, sa pagdadala ng Pilipinas sa mundo. Now, let’s show the world what makes the Philippines worth coming home to,” the post concluded.

In a separate post, DOT shared individual photos of the members holding their “Galingbayan” boxes, marking the start of their new roles as tourism ambassadors.

“Representing the Philippines on and off the stage. We’re proud to begin this new chapter as the Philippines’ newest tourism ambassadors. From the Philippines to the world!” the agency captioned the photos.

SB19 joins fellow P-pop act BINI, which DOT also appointed as tourism ambassadors earlier this month, as the agency continues to tap Filipino artists to help strengthen the country’s tourism industry.
