ASTRO, SEVENTEEN, VIVIZ, other artists unite ​​in tribute song for late Moonbin

ASTRO, together with other K-pop stars, have come together to release an emotional tribute song for the late ASTRO member Moonbin, marking the second anniversary of his passing. 

Titled “Memory of the Moon,” the track officially dropped on Saturday, April 19. A total of 22 artists — Moonbin’s close friends and fellow idols — participated in the tribute.

These include all members of ASTRO and VIVIZ; MONSTA X’s Minhyuk, I.M, and Kihyun; SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan, Mingyu, DK, Hoshi, and Wonwoo; Stray Kids’ Bang Chan; soloist Hello Gloom; former Weki Meki members Choi Yoojung and Kim Doyeon; SF9’s Chani; and Moonbin’s sister, Moon Sua, from the girl group Billlie.

According to ASTRO’s agency Fantagio, ASTRO members alongside Moonbin’s closest industry peers prepared the heartfelt track as a gift for his fans.The song captures the deep friendships and cherished memories they shared with Moonbin.

The tribute ends with a touching message for Moonbin from all featured artists, saying in unison: “Bin-ah, we love you!”

Moonbin passed away on April 19, 2023, at the age of 25. He was found by his manager at his residence in Gangnam, Seoul. Authorities confirmed there was no foul play involved.

Debuting in 2016 as ASTRO’s main dancer and sub-vocalist, Moonbin first entered the entertainment industry as a child actor, notably appearing in the hit KBS drama “Boys Over Flowers” (2009). He went on to build a beloved career in both music and acting.
