The “happiest country in the world” is giving 16 lucky singles from around the globe the chance to find love by offering them free four-day trips to Finland.
The Finnish tourism board, Visit Finland, announced its “Finnish Dinner Date” campaign, which aims to bring people together through blind dates, local tourism, and traditional Finnish cuisine.
The initiative invites single individuals to take part in an immersive dining experience where they can meet new people, build connections, and enjoy specially prepared Finnish dishes.
According to Visit Finland’s official website, the culinary experiences will be held in Helsinki and Tampere, with selected pairs joining each group dinner.
Special menus will be prepared by two acclaimed Finnish chefs. Adele Kinnunen, head chef of Café Savoy and a former MasterChef Professionals participant, will curate the menu for the Helsinki experience.
Meanwhile, Henry Tikkanen, restaurateur behind Gösta and a representative of Finland at the prestigious Bocuse d’Or culinary competition, will conceptualize the menu for the Tampere dinner.
Selected participants will receive an all-expenses-paid four-day trip, complete with a hosted itinerary of activities and dining experiences throughout the stay.
Eight international participants will be selected for each destination and will be joined by two local Finnish singles. The four-day experiences are scheduled to take place between February 9 and 19, 2027.
Interested applicants, aged 18 and above, who are free to date and open to meeting someone new, must complete two steps to qualify for the campaign.
First, they must post a creative introduction video on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, answering the question: “What would you serve on a dinner date and why?”
Applicants must include the hashtag #FinnishDinnerDate and tag Visit Finland on Instagram or on TikTok. Those uploading their entries on YouTube must also include the hashtag in the video’s title or description.
Instagram and TikTok accounts must be public, with entries remaining visible until the selected participants are announced on December 1, 2026. YouTube entries may be uploaded as either public or unlisted videos.
Second, applicants must complete the online application form on Visit Finland’s website and provide the link to their entry video.
The deadline for submissions is November 10, 2026, at 11:59 a.m. Finnish time (EET, UTC+2). Only one application per person will be accepted, and late submissions will not be considered.
The selected participants will be announced on December 1, 2026.
