Jinkee Pacquiao had a lighthearted response to netizens who criticized her after a video showing her bodyguard holding an umbrella over her drew mixed reactions.
The video, uploaded on Jinkee’s official Facebook account, showed her accompanied by a bodyguard who held an umbrella for her.
The clip drew mixed reactions from netizens, with some questioning why she needed someone else to perform the seemingly simple task, while others attributed it to her wealth.
Sana all,” another remarked.
Another user shared their preference for a simpler lifestyle, writing, “Kung ako yumaman, kahit billionaire pa, ako Iang talaga hahawak ng payong ko, [simpleng buhay lang gusto ko].”
Jinkee later appeared to address the criticism in another video, laughing as she explained that having someone hold an umbrella for her was not something she had requested.
Jinkee also clarified that she did not ask for a bodyguard, explaining that her husband, boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, was the one who assigned security personnel to accompany her.
Pero ako ‘di ako nagaano na may bodyguard ako,” she said.
In another video, Jinkee seemingly poked fun at the online comments by showing herself and her companions walking with umbrellas held over each of them by another person.
“Thank you sa mga basher ah,” one of her companions quipped, while another broke into a rendition of Rihanna’s hit song “Umbrella.”
