Cup of Joe frontman Gian Bernardino revealed he once had a crush on fellow OPM hitmaker Maki in the past.
The singer made the revelation in the Sunday, Nov. 1 episode of “Gandang Gabi Vice” where both Gian and Maki appeared as Vice Ganda’s guests.
During the show’s “Deep Truth” segment, everyone was asked to identify whether Gian’s statement, “Crush ko dati si Maki,” was true or false through the choices “trot” or “charot.”
He hinted that his feelings dated back around 2025, when they were already friends.
“Siguro mga 2025. Friends na kami,” said Bernardino.
Vice Ganda then asked Maki if he would have preferred knowing about Gian’s feelings at the time.
“Ako, gusto ko sinasabi sa akin para hindi ako naiilang,” Maki replied.
Gian eventually confirmed that the statement was “trot,” admitting that he had indeed developed a crush on his friend.
