Richard Gutierrez has finally addressed his separation from estranged wife Sarah Lahbati, admitting that the annulment of their marriage is currently underway.
The actor, in an interview with showbiz columnist and talent manager Ogie Diaz, confirmed that the annulment process to nullify his marriage with Sara is ongoing and have both moved on from the past.
“We are actually going through an annulment now. And both parties want to move forward. Actually, at this point, nakapag-move forward na yung both parties,” said Richard.
Richard furthered that he and Sarah are co-parenting their two kids and are focused on their well-being.
“May equal time kami with our kids. So, parang nagko-co-parenting kami, and ang priority namin is to make sure that the kids, you know, live a good life, a happy life,” he said.
“And of course, kung happy siya sa buhay niya, at happy ako sa buhay ko, makikita ng mga bata yun. At ang importante sa amin ay yung mga bata.
“Kung ano man yung dahilan, matagal na panahon na yun, nakapag-move on na kami pareho, 2025 na.
“Gusto kong magsimula yung taon nang maganda, peaceful, at happy. Let’s leave the past in the past. We’re all trying to move forward.
Richard is being romantically linked with Barbie Imperial after they were spotted in several sightings together.
When asked about his real status with the actress, Richard replied: “Doon muna tayo sa what you see is what you get sa amin ni Barbie.”
Rumors of Richard and Sarah’s separation began circulating in 2023 when fans and netizens observed their absence from each other’s social media accounts. The two tied the knot a civil wedding ceremony in 2020.
