Angel Locsin breaks social media hiatus over hacked X account

-

The official X (formerly Twitter) account of actress Angel Locsin recently got compromised with cryptocurrency content.

Despite her ongoing social media hiatus, Angel took the time to inform her followers on Facebook about the unauthorized online activity in her verified X page where videos about cryptocurrency giveaways and posts pretending to be the actress were made.

“ATTENTION: Please note that @143redangel, Angel Locsin’s account on X (formerly Twitter), has been hacked. Any replies or tweets from this account are not from Angel. Please be cautious,” the notice read.

Her husband, film producer Neil Arce, also posted about his wife’s account being hacked on his Instagram story.

Angel reiterated the notice again on Tuesday afternoon, stating that the reposts and links shared in her page were not made by her and strongly advised netizens to not click the said links while they were still working on getting her access back to her account.

By Wednesday night, Angel and Neil finally announced that they had successfully regained access to her X account and removed all hacked content from her page.

“Hello everyone 😇 long time no chat. I just wanna say I have recovered my X account (totoo na to, pramis 😄) Thank you sa mga tumulong and @X for helping. I miss you all and ingat lagi ❣️,” the actress shared.

“Account recovered!,” Arce confirmed by replying to his wife’s X post after a netizen requested assurance from the couple.

This was not the first time Angel had fallen victim to hacking incidents. In 2020, the actress shared repeated attempts to hack her email and social media accounts such as Twitter and Facebook, after one of her accounts got temporarily locked due to a login made from an unfamiliar location.
