Ricci Rivero reiterated that there was no overlapping in his relationships with ex-girlfriend Andrea Brillantes and current partner Leren Bautista.
Following his recent word war with Andrea’s close friend Bea Borres, Ricci clarified he and the actress had an on and off relationship that led to their split, before he even met Leren on May 26.
“Hindi third party si Leren alam nila yan,” Ricci said in a statement sent to Marites University’s DJ Jhaiho.
The basketball player also cried foul at Andrea and Bea for supposedly trying to ruin his and Leren’s image in public.
“Huwag silang pa-clickbait para makuha ang simpatya ng tao at sirain kami. Mag mo-move on kami nang maayos nang walang nasasaktan dahil hindi na ako papayag na may madamay pang iba para lang sa good publicity nila,” stressed Ricci.
“We [Andrea] broke up a couple times na early this year kaya magulo na talaga. Nakikipagbalikan siya and nung last time na May 6 sinabi niya na wala na, end na because of the girl na alam naman niya na kasama ng friend ko yun na pumunta doon so paanong overlap doon,” Ricci furthered while referring to the woman Andrea caught in his condo unit.
Ricci recalled Andrea going to his unit several times to make up and get back together with him but when he declined, the actress allegedly asked her not to tell the public that they are no longer together.
“Pumupunta siya ng condo ko nang madaling araw ilang beses for what? Para makipagbalikan. Nag yes ba ako? Hindi, kasi ayoko na and sinabi ko yan sa kanya paulit-ulit so I am the bad person here for not publicly telling everyone that I am single.
Ricci continued, “She asked me not to let people know muna kasi baka masira ang image niya tapos nung hindi ako pumayag makipagbalikan, sisiraan na ako bigla.
The cager also explained why he felt the need to respond to Andrea and Bea’s posts which he claimed were clearly directed at him.
“We all know who she’s pertaining to sa mga tweets niya from the very start. Nag reply ako kasi sumosobra na sila and meron naman talaga ako alam sa kanila pareho pero hindi ako nagsasalita kasi hindi ako yung tao para manira.
“Hindi naman ako nagsasalita nung mga nakakasama at kausap din silang iba sa bars. Nanahimik ako sa detalye at tiniis lahat ng mga gawa-gawa nilang paninira sa laundry na yan, sa mga gamit sa bahay para lang pagbigyan ang coping mechanism nila pero sobra na.
On the other hand, DJ Jhaiho also shared a statement from Bea saying she has consulted her lawyer of the possible actions they might take following Ricci’s accusations against her
