‘Tinatarantado niyo ang mga Pilipino’: Coco Martin airs frustration over NTC order against ABS-CBN

-

Coco Martin vented out his anger and disappointment over the National Telecommunications Commission’s (NTC) move to halt the broadcast operations of ABS-CBN.

ABS-CBN officially signed off Tuesday night, stopping its TV and radio broadcasts nationwide “in compliance” with the cease and desist order by NTC after the network’s 25-year franchise expired on May 4. (READ: ABS-CBN signs off after NTC’s cease and desist order)

The Kapamilya star, who directs and stars in ABS-CBN’s longest-running teleserye Ang Probinsyano, couldn’t help but say his piece in a lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday night.

Coco went on to lash out at the people behind the Kapamilya network’s shutdown.

The Kapamilya actor, who seemed to have let out his inner Cardo Dalisay, said he will not let himself be silenced during this time.

For Coco, the NTC’s move was unjust and a big mistake because it will affect the jobs of thousands of ABS-CBN employees.

He then slammed NTC and Solicitor General Jose Calida, who filed in February a quo warranto petition to revoke the media giant’s franchise.

He ended his statement with a strong note, “TINATARANTADO NINYO ANG MGA PILIPINO!!!”
