Gretchen Ho has announced to her followers that she will be giving away 50 bicycles to those who are in need of a bike to support their livelihoods.
“Because a BIKE can spell the difference between keeping a livelihood or not,” she wrote on her social media accounts on Thursday.
“Giving away 50 BIKES. If you are in need of 1, you may APPLY via link below. You need to JUSTIFY why you’re DESERVING, and show PROOF when my team contacts you,” Gretchen added.
The television host said the bicycles she will be giving away were sourced from abroad and that she has personally tested them out.
“This took quite some time because we had them shipped from abroad, but I’ve used them and both mountain and folding bikes are of good quality,” she said.
The volleyball star then informed her followers that if they want to take part in her project, they can contribute cash donations for the procurement of more bicycles.
“Let’s empower people to continue fighting for their dreams by giving them a ride,” Gretchen said.
In another tweet, she added that she will be handing the bicycles to the winners after the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) has been lifted in Metro Manila.
Since opening her project to the public, she has already collected a pledge for 116 bikes and more.
