On June 15, the late Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago would have been celebrating her 75th birthday. Kapuso star Heart Evangelista took to social media to remember her “second mother.”
On Instagram, she shared photos of her with the Iron Lady of Asia.
“My mentor, my angel, and my second mother. Happy Birthday!”
For her Instagram stories, she shared more of their throwback photos together.
Last year, the actress penned a heartfelt message for her “queen.”
“It seems like just yesterday we were going on our adventures together, chatting, lunching, and just enjoying each other’s company.
“You owe me adulting 101, Tita. But it’s okay because I remember every single lesson you’ve taught me until today. Of course, you were my ultimate mentor and source of guidance,” she wrote.
Santiago passed away back in September 29, 2016 after battling lung cancer.
