March 8 is a very special day for women all over the world as they celebrate and empower each other, and raise their voices even more for women’s rights and gender equality.

Here’s how some of our favorite celebrity gals let their girl power shine as they mark the historic day with words of wisdom and hope.

Vicki Belo

The celebrity doctor recognized the source of a girl’s strength — a strong woman who offers guidance.

“Behind every strong girl is a strong woman who holds and guides her until she herself can inspire other women as well. Happy International Women’s Day,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

The happy mom marked the day with a photo of her and her daughter Scarlet Snow.

Heart Evangelista

The Kapuso actress made sure to empower her fellow women as she shared how she became the strong woman she is today.

“Chasing after your dreams isn’t easy. I always thought of just giving up, but I knew I had to persevere and that’s what helped me become the woman I am now today,” she wrote.

Meryll Soriano

Newbie mom Meryll marked Women’s day with a past photo of her embracing her baby bump. On Instagram, she shared an inspirational quote from one of the women she looks up to, Michelle Obama.

“Quoting one of my inspirations, Mrs. Obama, ’There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.’ Shine on Ladies!” she wrote.

Catriona Gray

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray encouraged her followers on the platform to join the call and stand up for human rights and fight for an equal future.

In her photo, she included a quote from American poet Maya Angelou: “Each time a woman stands up for herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands up for all women.”

Bianca Gonzalez

The television host and mom to two beautiful girls shared a photo of her daughters and hoped they will grow up in a world where women are seen as equals.

Her caption on Instagram read: “I hope that my daughters will grow up in a world where women are truly seen as equals, where even more gender stereotypes are broken, and they can fully thrive in whatever they choose to pursue.”

Anne Curtis

First-time mom Anne sent her hugs to all women across the globe with a special mention to women frontliners during the pandemic.

“May we continue to stand up for what we believe in, uplift one another, use our voices to be heard. And may we raise our little girls to stand strong, have empathy, believe that they can and will be anything they want to be with determination and hard work and may they become women who are game changers of the future,” she wrote.
