Ryan Bang became emotional as he reflected on finding love again after recently reconnecting with OPM hitmaker Yeng Constantino.
The emotional moment came after the noontime show discussed Yeng’s “Biyaheng Bente” concert, where she and Ryan had a sweet reunion.
During the show’s second night, Constantino serenaded Bang and gave him a special mention on stage, where she opened up about their almost-romance more than a decade ago.
“Yung kay Ryan kasi ang nangyari sa ’min, sineen-zoned niya ako. Crush na crush kita noon. Tapos ako ’yung nanlilibre sa kanya pang-date. Eh sobrang gusto ko siya. Pumunta ka lang sa restaurant, ako na bahala sa ’yo kasi crush kita eh,” Yeng recalled.
The “Ikaw” singer also thanked Ryan for finally giving her context about what happened between them.
“Pero sobrang thank you na nilinaw mo rin ang istorya natin kasi that gave me a context na di naman pala ako pangit, na nagustuhan mo pa rin pala ako but it was not the right time,” Yeng said.
She also assured Bang that she would continue to support him and celebrate his growth and achievements.
“Salamat pa rin, bro, sobra. I celebrate you, lahat ng business mo at kung gaano ka kagwapo ngayon. Siyempre pag kaibigan iaangat mo parang poon. Ryan, I love you, my friend,” Yeng told Ryan.
On Wednesday’s episode of “It’s Showtime,” Vice Ganda brought up Ryan’s recent appearance at the concert, which he described as one of his “best” moments.
Ryan thanked Vice Ganda for taking him to the concert before becoming emotional when Yeng’s song “Salamat” played in the background. His fellow hosts then gathered around him for a group hug.
“Mommy, makakahanap kaya ako?” Ryan asked Vice Ganda.
“Syempre, tulad ni Yeng… Nu’ng nag-uumpisa ako, wala akong pambayad ng date, wala akong kotse, wala akong pera. Paulit-ulit ’yung damit ko. Pero minahal… May chance pala ’ko sa kaniya,” he added.
“Makakahanap kaya ako ng ganun?” he asked again.
Vice Ganda reassured him that love would eventually find him, much like what happened with Constantino.
“Hindi ka makakahanap, ikaw ang hahanapin ng pag-ibig. Kaya hindi mo kailangan maghanap. Love will find you. Just wait,” the comedian assured him.
Ryan’s emotional moment comes just days after he also went viral for a shout-out directed at his and their romance that failed to reach the altar.
In June, Ryan confirmed that he and his former fiancée, Paola Huyong, had ended their relationship and called off their engagement, describing the breakup as the “darkest” and “hardest” time of his life.
Ryan and Yeng’s story dates back more than a decade. The two opened up about their failed romance on “It’s Showtime,” back in 2022, with Bang admitting that he felt he was not good enough for Constantino, while the singer thought he had grown tired of waiting for her.
Constantino also drew inspiration from their past for her song “B.A.B.A.Y,” which was released in 2013 after Ryan stopped communicating with her.
