After 17 years of captivating listeners on the radio, “Barangay Love Stories” is finally making its way to television.
The popular radio program from GMA Network’s flagship FM station, Barangay LS 97.1 Forever, is set to bring its beloved stories of love, life, and hope to the small screen.
Hosted by veteran radio personality and “Pambansang Storyteller” Papa Dudut, “Barangay Love Stories” features stories submitted by listeners through letters, which are then brought to life through storytelling and narration.
Now, fans will get to see these stories unfold through the performances of Kapuso stars Shuvee Etrata, Anthony Constantino, Sofia Pablo, Iñigo Jose, Ashley Sarmiento, Lee Victor, and Rave Victoria.
Sparkle GMA Artist Center also gave a glimpse of the upcoming adaptation featuring its cast members by sharing its first teaser on Facebook.
Papa Dudut expressed his heartfelt gratitude over the long-awaited television adaptation, revealing that bringing the radio program to TV has been one of his dreams.
On the Monday episode of “24 Oras”, Papa Dudut said he had been manifesting the possibility of seeing “Barangay Love Stories” on television.
“I would say na mina-manifest ko din ‘yan dahil pinagbubutihan natin ‘yung programa natin sa radyo,” he said.
He also shared his hope that the radio program he has loved for years would reach an even wider audience.
“Hinihiling ko na magkaroon ng pagkakataon ‘yung minahal kong programa sa radyo na mas marami pang maka-appreciate,” Papa Dudut said.
“This time, magkakaroon na ng picture ‘yung mga ini-imagine nilang mga story na gaganapan ng kanilang mga paboritong GMA Kapuso stars,” he added.
“Barangay Love Stories” premieres on GMA Network on Sept. 12, 2026.
