Angel Locsin calls out netizen who left political comment under post for typhoon victims

Angel Locsin called out a netizen who left a political comment under her message of encouragement and support for typhoon victims.

“My heart bleeds for those heavily affected by these typhoons #Rolly & #Ulysses. Praying that you, your loved ones, and colleagues are safe and secure. Our resilience will always be greater than any calamity! Alagaan natin ang isa’t isa. Keep safe mga kababayan ko,” the actress posted on Instagram, along with emergency numbers to call for help.

A netizen, however, left an uncalled-for comment that said young people who were recruited by the NPA are pitiful, hinting at the actress’ alleged association with the New People’s Army (NPA).

Angel agreed that anyone using the youth for their own agenda is loathsome.

“Ngayon, ito ang panawagan para sa mga nasalanta at nasalanta ng bagyo, hindi ba sila importante enough sayo para disregard sila at isingit ang comment mo sa panahong ito? Umayos ka,” she wrote.

She also said the netizen was using her and her fellow actors for his propaganda that’s why he is watchful of their social media activity.

Angel, meanwhile, has lent her voice to actors’ group AKTOR – League of Filipino Actors in calling for donations for the victims of Typhoon Ulysses.

Another netizen criticized the actress for her response and mentioned that she should condemn the NPA so that her sister, Ella Colmenares, who was accused of being involved with the Communist Party, can no longer recruit anyone.

Angel responded to the netizen saying who’s really pitiful is whoever’s paying someone like him.

“Kung gusto mong gumitna sa away, bakit hindi ka mamundok at hanapin mo sila? Bakit ako ang ilalagay mo sa panganib eh ikaw yung nagpapakatapang naman dyan? Ikaw makipaglaban at wag mong ipasa sa ibang tao,” she said.

Angel has previously slammed any attempts to red-tag her and family members.

The actress, who is known for her philanthropic activities, recently expressed concerns that the red-tagging issue might affect future relief efforts.
